Here you can find the complete set of requirements for joining Daily Cardiology Academy as an executive editor

Please read the following carefully and let us now if you meet these requirements by applying via the form below.

The Executive Editor’s requirements:

  • An excellent level of English proficiency (IELTS band 7 and above, TOEFL score 105 and above)
  • An adequate acquaintance with medical literature
  • Basic expertise in searching in medical publications and databases (Pubmed, EMBASE, Web of Science, Medscape, UpToDate, etc.)
  • Having a good grasp of the most important journals and publications in cardiovascular medicine
  • Basic knowledge of sound, video and image editing techniques
  • A welcoming, confident, and considerate attitude towards teaching and knowledge transfer
  • Passionate about keeping a sharp and elegant appearance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good editorship skills, precision and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of social media management
  • Ability to perform well as a team member and in different roles (manager, coordinator, etc.)
  • A stable plan to remain a member of our team for at least the next 2 years

The Executive Editor’s responsibilities:

  • Scientific responsibilities:
    • Editorship and double-checking all produced content
    • Collaborating with the academy’s digital platforms manager in organizing the contents across different media (Website, Instagram, etc.)
    • Educational content production plus visual and auditory editing of the content produced by others.
  • Executive responsibilities:
    • Collaborating with the academy’s digital platforms manager in organizing the contents across different media (Website, Instagram, etc.)
    • Executive management of the academy’s educational events
    • Arrangement of the pre-symposium meetings with third parties
    • Planning the preparation tasks before the events
    • Handling contracts and arrangements with third parties
    • Supervising the technical team on the day of the events
    • Supervising the social media outreach and advertisement for the events
    • Coordinating all tasks related to the Young Cardiologist Award program
    • Performing as the representative of the academy in all of its collaborations with third parties.
    • Handling the academy’s collaboration requests and assignment of tasks to the collaborators
    • Surveillance on the work of all third parties who work for the academy (website developer, podcast manager, graphic designer etc.)

Availability and salary

The executive editor needs to be available both online and in person from Saturday to Thursday 9:00 to 17:00

The salary will be established through mutual discussion with the applicant following a one-month non-pay shadowing period.
